Bespoke Timber Windows

Our timber BGO Construction is a prestigious window that boasts period charm and character. These high quality BGO Construction are appropriate not only for period properties but also new builds where the BGO Construction are required to meet thermal, acoustic and PAS 24 security standards. Designed with all the traditional detailing and carefully selected decorative features such as glazing, bars, mouldings and architectural hardware, they can even be incoporated into BGO Construction structures.

Period and historic buildings deserve particular attention to detail when considering replacement of windows. The Heritage range has been specifically designed for listed buildings where approval is required. Our team have a wealth of experience in dealing with listed buildings and conservation areas. Heritage Windows are available in our BGO Construction or casement range, featuring lambs tongue and putty bead mouldings and bars, Heritage Ventlock for child safety, decorative horn detail, slim frame sections.

Spiral Balance

Spiral balanced windows were introduced back in the 80’s as an alternative more economical method of operation. Sashes are fixed to a spring tension spiral and operate on friction. Although this method got off to a shady start they have been vastly improved over the years and have superseeded cord and weight as the preferred mechanism.

This modern day alternative of the classic box BGO Construction reproduces the original charm and character of English BGO Construction and incorporates all the traditional features of an original box sash window with a modern method of operation

Cord & Weights

The Sliding Sash Cords & Weights window is a vertical sliding sash, incorporating a traditional pulleys and weights lifting system. The Cords & Weights design utilises a heavy weight nylon cord on self-lubricating wheels to operate the window. This profile is particularly suited to stone or brick new build mansions and prestigious refurbishments. Our Cords & Weights Sliding Sash window ensures the traditional character and charm of a period building is maintained, whilst incorporating the latest advances in timber window technologies, security and performance for 21st century living.

Window Horns

We offer three classic horn designs that will complement the traditional character of your sash windows. Sash horns extend from the lower corners of the top sash and were originally an integral detail of a sash window, used to strengthen the structure. Nowadays, sash horns feature solely for aesthetic purposes.
